Add goals in Google Analytics to track conversions
When you have installed your Google Analytics on the storefront you can also set up goals in Analytics which is a great and easy way to track purchases and see how these purchases are generated, from which source. When a purchase of a course is made Coursio loads a specific URL for example:
where “coursio-introduction” is the course slug for each course.
This URL can be used to set up a goal in Analytics. Set up one goal per course or portfolio according to this documentation:
Choose to set a “Destination Goal” and that the Goal “should be equal to” and then use the URL specific for each course purchase, ex:
You do not need to set a Goal Value, leave that field blank, as this is set automatically as we have integrated Google E-commerce for you and it provides the value of the purchase.
